Self drive walks: Walkers are asked where possible to minimise the use of cars by meeting at South Parade Car Park and sharing transport. Walkers who may on occasion wish to meet the main group at the walk start location, rather than South Parade, must notify the Walk Leader in advance. e.g. those who live near to the start location or who are unable to offer car sharing . Passengers are encouraged to offer a fair, voluntary contribution towards petrol.
Walk Leaders are encouraged to send brief walk details to the Web Editor for inclusion on this page. Non coach walks should include directions & time of the walk start.

We also start in Forden, but soon head east through glorious rolling hills, swinging north through Trelystan, before eventually rejoining the Offa’s Dyke path shortly before the hill fort. We descend to Buttington and the Green Dragon pub, along the same path as the shorter walk.
Walk The WalkShorter walk 6.5 miles, led by Rosie
We start in the village of Forden (Powys) and soon join the Offa’s Dyke path which initially follows a metalled lane leading uphill to the woodlands of Leighton Estate. There is plenty of time to stop and admire the unfolding views behind us. We follow footpaths and tracks, always on the Offa’s Dyke path, which mostly follow the contours until we reach a hill fort. Then it is all downhill with magnificent views, to Buttington where the Green Dragon pub awaits us.
