Who we are................

Welcome to Sutton Coldfield Ramblers.

Founded in 1991, we are part of 'Ramblers',  the national organisation which promotes walking for the enjoyment and benefits which it brings.  We provide a varied programme of walks and social activities, and any member of the public is welcome to join us on our walks. Although  intended primarily for Ramblers members,  we are delighted to welcome non-members to come along as our guests for up to three "taster walks" before joining  Ramblers.

What do we do?

  • We organise walks locally and further afield each Sunday and on the first two Thursdays of each month

  • From time to time we have 'coach walks' - an opportunity to travel as a group by coach to walk in places beyond our local area

  • In the summer season, from May onwards, we enjoy evening 'pub walks' - walking locally and enjoying a drink together afterwards

  • Several times a year we arrange holidays - usually long weekends away in this country, though we have also organised walking holidays abroad

  • We organise regular social events  like  meals in restaurants, theatre visits or a skittles evening in a local pub

  • We care for access to the countryside through our regular path maintenance programme
