Short Walk

An easy walk of around 6 miles in the White Peak area of Derbyshire - a land of submarine limestone deposits. From Hartington village centre, the route heads SE to meet Biggindale, then descends into Dovedale before returning into Hartington via Wolfscote Dale. There will probably be an option for some to extend this walk on a loop which would increase the distance from 6 miles to 7.5 miles.

There is variey of pubs and teashops for post-walk gratification in the picture-postcard location.

Starting from Fernydale passing through Longnor, Crowdicote, Pilbury then skirting Carder Low ending in Hartington.
