Sutton Coldfield Ramblers

An easy walk (with a couple of gentle inclines) of around 8 miles with varied scenery and outstanding views over Charnwood Forest and the surrounding Leicestershire countryside. Starting from the attractive village of Woodhouse Eaves, cross Lingdale golf course following the Leicestershire Round to Bradgate Deer Park. Walk alongside the River Lin, passing the remains of Bradgate House, then Cropstone Reservoir. At the end of the park, enter a beautiful area of mixed woodland - Swithland Wood - following the National Forest Way, passing the remains of slate quarry workings. Leaving the wood, return along the road to Woodhouse Eaves. There are no stiles.
