Kings Water Park Amble Sunday, 23rd August
An easy, flat 5-mile amble taken at the speed of the slowest walker. We started at the Dog & Doublet pub, then walked along the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal, turning into the water park after a mile. We meandered around the lakes, through woodland and along marked paths, took a refreshment stop after 2 miles or so, where we enjoyed Paul's chocolate brownies. Lunch was at the Visitor Centre at around the four mile mark (ish) - and it was busy there! We then looped back following the Echells Wood Railway, and returned to the canal for the last part of the walk. There were good toilets andno stiles en route. Drinks were available at the pub on returning to our cars.
