A moderate walk of around 7.5 miles starting from the Chadwick Arms, Hill Ridware. The walk follows good tracks towards Colton passing by Lawmeadow Covert and Carwaden Springs Farm. The route crosses Blithbury Road onto New Barn and into Colton. The route then joins the Staffordshire Way to the top of Colton, where we took a lunch break at Ye Old Dun Cow. From there the route went towards Hill Ridware involving good tracks and some minor road walking to avoid a number of difficult stiles. Refreshments were available at the pub at the end of the walk. There were a small number stiles, but generally good tracks around the route.
