An easy, flat seven-mile ramble starting at the Red Lion in Hopwas. We join the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal, following it south to the acqueduct over the River Tame. Leaving the canal, we follow the River Tame north almost into the centre of Tamworth. We then head east, following the Flood Relief Channel, with great views of Tamworth Castle, to join a lane and then the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal again to return to Hopwas and welcome refreshments in the Red Lion. There are only two stiles.
