Longdon Green
A moderate circular walk of around 5.5 miles taking in the countryside between Longdon Green, Longdon and Handsacre. The walk started at Longdon Green village green and went along minor roads and tracks to Longdon. From there they crosses fields to Handsascre where there is some street walking on pavements  to get onto the Trent and Mersey Canal. They followed the towpath south towards Tuppenhurst for a coffee break at the farm cafe. The walk returned to Longdon Green via Hill Top Farm  involving some road walking and good tracks. As the farm name suggests there was a small hill to ascend, with an easy descent back into Longdon Green. There were several stiles to cross, all in good condition.  Refreshments were available at the Red Lion at the end of the walk.
