An easy walk of around 5 miles with 4 stiles.  The walk started from the War Memorial in Alrewas, then onto  the Trent & Mersey Canal towpath as far as Wychnor.  After that  along a tarmacked lane to Wychnor Park Country Club - coffee stop. The route than joins  the Millennium Way, across fields and the River Trent to rejoin the canal towpath at Alrewas as far as Bagnall Lock. It then leaves  the towpath, crosses fields and the park to return to Main Street. Refreshments available at the George & Dragon pub. The water level was high with some fields flooded.
