An easy walk of around 6 miles around the countryside of Whittington. Starting  from the Dog Inn and walking towards Whittington Heath golf club, where a public footpath crosses the greens, the walk continues through Whittington Barracks and onto the Heart of England Way  towards Lichfield. It goes into Darnford Park and Boley Park and on to Huddlesford to join the Coventry Canal. The route follows the canal back to Whittington and along  the main street to the Dog. There is a mixture of good tracks, footpaths and canal towpath. There is some road walking between Boley Park and Huddlesford. There are no stiles.
