An easy, mostly flat walk of around 8 miles on surfaced footpaths, tracks, pavements and towpaths. Starting from Dosthill Park car park, the walk goes through the park, then past St Paul's Church with its Norman Chapel. It makes a gentle ascent of Dosthill's 'hill' to take in its wonderful, panoramic view. Then it goes around Dosthill Lakes before crossing the bridge over the River Tame into RSPB Middleton Lakes. At Middleton Hall there is the possibility of coffee stop. Retrace your steps through the nature reserve to join the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal towpath, passing the unusual, ornate, Drayton Turret Footbridge. Possibility of lunch stop at the canalside Three Tuns pub at Fazeley Junction. Finally rejoin the canal towpath for a short distance and return to the car park.
