Sutton Coldfield Ramblers

A varied, moderate figure-of-eight walk of around 9 miles, starting in the small village of Bednall. It follows the Staffordshire Way on tracks and field paths, then through the Bednall Belt Plantation, leaving the Staffordshire Way to walk through pleasant woodland in the direction of Brocton. It goes through Oldacre then across fields to the attractive village of Acton Trussell.

Leaving the village, the path follows a section of the Worcestershire & Staffordshire Canal towpath as far as Parkgate Lock. Rejoining the Staffordshire Way, it goes  alongside the Teddesley Park Estate, then lanes to Bednall. There may be sightings of deer at different points along the route. There are about a dozen stiles.
